On May 28, 2025, a training titled "Reforms and Transformation in Quality Assurance in Higher Education Institutions" was held at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. This event was organized under the QUARTZ project within the framework of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
The training program was opened with an introductory speech by the project coordinator S. Samariddinov. In his speech, he emphasized the importance, relevance, and effectiveness of the QUARTZ project in the higher education system of Uzbekistan.
The training was actively attended by professors and lecturers of the university, representatives of structural units, and students.
The program covered the following main directions:
- Analysis of the quality management system
- Quality control mechanisms based on European experience
- Planning of academic proposals
- Evaluation of scientific research and PhD programs
- Development of student-oriented curricula
- Group exercises and completion of practical tasks
This training serves to improve quality in higher education, adopt international experience, and introduce innovative approaches.
