A workshop was held on August 27-28 for professors and staff of Urgench branch of Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, as part of the "QUARTZ - Quality Assurance for the Reform and Transformation of Higher Education Institutions in Uzbekistan" project, funded by the European Union’s "Erasmus+" program. The workshop included lectures focused on enhancing the quality of education for leaders, staff, and professors to further improve the university's effectiveness. The sessions were led by O. Allamov, the branch's deputy director for scientific affairs and innovations, and the head of the Department of Information Technologies.
Additionally, Z. Madrakhimov, head of the Department of Quality Control of Education, presented the "QUARTZ" project, detailing its objectives, tasks, and implementation processes. The participants were introduced to the project's goals and discussed promising collaborations with local and international universities, including Varna Management University (Bulgaria) and Universita degli Studi Dell'Aquila (Italy). The workshop also addressed current challenges and potential solutions for enhancing the quality of education in Uzbekistan, including our university, and shared insights into how these European universities have successfully improved educational quality.
